Since 2018, the Whistler Institute (WI) and British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) have partnered and collaborated on delivering in-person accredited BCIT courses in our community. Based on feedback collected through community learning needs assessments, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews with employers and employees, WI and BCIT have developed custom courses to fulfill our community’s unique learning needs.
In 2019, WI and BCIT signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding the deliver of business and leadership courses in the Sea to Sky Corridor, to build mutually beneficial educational opportunities and pathways for residents and visitors to the Sea to Sky Corridor.
In 2024, WI and BCIT continue to explore partnership opportunities under an Industry Services Agreement. While no courses are currently scheduled at this time, the following are examples of courses we have facilitated in the past.
