Part Two Of The 2023-2024 Global Perspectives Speaker Series Announced

February 12, 2024. Whistler, BC – Part two of the 2023-2024 Global Perspective Speaker Series explores the future of healthcare and advancements in the understanding of concussions. Launching on the heels of the successful fall sessions, both spring sessions will be held at the Maury Young Arts Centre in Whistler on Thursday, March 7 and Thursday, April 4. Each evening will delve into progressive ideas and new research from industry experts, concluding with an audience engagement period. Both sessions will examine their respective topics on a global and local scale.

The Future of Healthcare brings together two academics and two practising physicians. Their knowledge mix will enlighten attendees about the evolution of healthcare, incorporating examples of how local healthcare is constantly reinventing and innovating to meet the fast-paced needs of our community. Concussions: Advances in prevention, identification, and treatment investigates today’s contemporary research with a focus on sports and traumatic brain injuries. Topically relevant to our community, this exploratory session will blend a panel of academic professionals and high performance athletes with lived experiences. Tickets for the April 7 event are now available.

Doors open for both events at 5:15pm, with the panel discussions starting at 6:00pm.
