About the Speaker

Paul Evans is Professor Emeritus in the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs at UBC.  Author, teacher, media commentator and policy adviser, he has been a principal figure in Canada-Asia relations for 40 years with a primary focus on China and its Asian neighborhood.

He has worked with think tanks, government ministries, and universities across the Asia Pacific region and served as Co-CEO of the Asia Pacific Foundation.
