*IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS POSITION*
This position is funded by the Government of Canada’s Canada Summer Jobs program, under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy. As such, the successful candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada;
- Be between the ages of 15 and 30;
- Have been a full-time student in the semester preceding; and
- Intend to return to full-time studies in the semester following this position.
Term of employment: $17.40/hr for 30 hrs/week July 2 – August 23, 2024 (start date can change depending on the availability of the successful candidate).

Areas of Responsibility:
- Design and develop digital marketing materials (graphics, videos, copy) for the Whistler Institute’s social media accounts and website
- Curate existing content for future promotional use on social channels and website using tools such as Canva
- Use analytics tools (such as Later.com, GA4, Meta Business Suite) to prepare reports on digital campaigns
- Develop and capture video testimonials, where possible
- Additional tasks and duties as assigned
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Eagerness to learn about new innovations and software.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Be a self-starter.
- Prior experience in marketing or social media an asset.
