2SLGBTQIA+ Community Inclusivity Training

Whistler Pride and Ski Festival is projecting record-breaking attendance for the 30th anniversary celebration, running January 22-29, 2023. We are excited to join forces with the festival, Tourism Whistler and QMUNITY to host a special information session perfect for business owners, managers, front-line staff and anyone else who wants to be part of designing a welcoming experience for 2SLGBTQIA+ guests.
Since 1979, QMUNITY has existed as BC’s queer, trans, and Two-Spirit resource centre. Learn about 2SLGBTQIA+ terminology, as well as an overview on how we understand and talk about gender and sexuality as a society.
From this session, you can expect to gain insight into how you can contribute to creating safer, more inclusive spaces in your workplace, and your everyday life. The presentation will be 60 minutes, with time for questions and discussion to follow.
Festival Director Sunil Sinha and team will also be available to answer questions about the festival and getting involved after the workshop.
